8th of January 1999 the first listing of "Pemug" S.A. shares on Warsaw Stock Exchange 
On 7th of March 2005 "Pemug" celebrated its 60th anniversary. On that day the United Design and Assembly Offices for Mining came into being. This organization consisted of three units, which gave the beginning to "Pemug" S.A. These were:-
WALBO - Engineering Building and Construction Works for Coal Industry with its head office in Katowice, ul. 3 Maja , since 1948 named Mining Equipment Plant (ZUG)

PIK - Mining Installation Plan in Sosnowcu, since 1948 named Output Equipment Plant (ZUW);

INTENSIW-FILTER - Mining Equipment and Dust Collectors Factory with its head office in Katowice-Ligota, ul. Książęca, in 1948 converted into Main Mechanical and Boilers Shop.
The forties and the fifties
At the first months after Second World War "Pemug" takes part in building of coal mines in Katowice, Rybnik, Jaworzno, Mikołów, Ruda. Since 1947 "Pemugie" realizes its first investment tasks in mining. The Enterprise manufactures and assembles steel constructions, as well as equipment and devices of hoist towers, buildings, platforms, belt conveyors, shaft equipment, washers, sorting plants, overhead cranes.
The sixties
Pemug participates in building of 13 new mines, which have been formatted until 1970 in Poland. During this time Pemug also takes part in building of brown coal mines. Since 1958 Pemug plays the key role as the General Contractor in mining. Until 1970 the enterprise managed building of 53 big industrial objects, 28 of which were the plants of mechanical coal recovery. Since 1961 Pemug becomes one of the exporters. First constructions and equipment, which were mostly designed by Pemug’s own technical - design office, go to China, India, Albania, former Yugoslavia and East Germany. In India Pemug’s staff assembles hoist towers and equipment. At the same time technical - engineering specialists supervise the assembly of this project, as well as assembly of hoist towers and belt conveyors for mining plants in India, Indochina, Tunisia and former Yugoslavia.
The seventies
Pemug takes part in creating technical back up for residential building in Poland. In 1977-1979 the enterprise also conquers the mining market in Nigeria.
The eighties
It is the time when "Pemug" already has modern heavy crane equipment and mobile cranes produced by Demag at its disposal. Thanks to this equipment "Pemug" has the possibility to use the best technology of assembly. In the eighties "Pemug" still continues to build the mines in India.
The nineties
It is the time of big transformation, as well as privatization and restructuring of Polish economy. "Pemug" enters into market economy as one of the first fully privatized enterprises. Company bears the cost of privatization and struggles to keep good position on the market. "Pemug" must be up to new conditions of its products and services sales. The main market for "Pemug" is mining. However in this sector, from the beginning of nineties serious investment limits begin. As a result of this situation the company must meet the challenge of time and extend its offer to meet the needs of the other industrial sectors. Today, looking from the perspective of the past five years of this decade, "Pemug" may claim that it prospers not only in mining sector - building pro ecological objects, but also marks its presence in the other sectors. In 1997 and 1998 the issuing of shares series "C" and "D" turned out to be a big success. In October 1998 all "Pemug" S.A. shares were admitted by Committee of Securities and Stock Exchanges to public turnover. Since 8th of January 1999 shares of "Pemug" are quoted on the Warsaw Stock Exchange.
